The Death of Robin Hood adds to an already impressive roll call including Game of Thrones, Saving Private Ryan and The Martian, which earned an Oscar nomination. Mark Huffam has a credit on all three. He’s a Northern Irish producer, awarded a CBE for services to film and television, and he’s worked with Cliff Garland and our team for more than 20 years.
To mark the UK release of The Death of Robin Hood, we sat down with him to discuss the value of having a trusted travel partner on a major production.
“I’ve worked closely with Cliff and his team at Identity Travel for over 20 years on many productions I’ve been involved with, and their professionalism and attention to detail is second to none.
It’s invaluable having that level of trust between a production and Identity Travel, knowing that we are in extremely good and, more importantly, safe hands. That confidence allows us to continue doing what we love most, making great productions for audiences around the world.”
Mark Huffam, Executive Producer
The Death of Robin Hood was filmed across Northern Ireland over a 30 day shoot, based at Belfast Harbour Studios. Hugh Jackman plays Robin Hood, with Jodie Comer, Bill Skarsgård, Murray Bartlett and Noah Jupe. Written and directed by Michael Sarnoski.
We managed the travel for cast and crew throughout.
A 30 day schedule has no spare days in it, so knowing where the crew needs to be at 5am, and what to do when that moves at midnight. Seamless, efficient and safe travel solutions that allowed the production team to focus bringing exciting new interpretation of the legendary tale to life.
“Plans change on a shoot, so people need clear options quickly and confidence that we’ll keep their teams moving and the production on track.
That’s the job.
After 20 years of it, the part I’m proudest of is being treated as a trusted part of the production family, providing a completely personalised service that can be relied upon 24/7 throughout the life of a project.”
Cliff Garland, Senior Manager, TV & Film Production Travel
Congratulations to Mark Huffam and the whole cast and crew on the release.
If you’re planning a shoot and want to make sure travel is never the reason a day gets lost, Cliff and the production team are the ones to talk to.
